Step 1: Apply Online
Kick off the process by filling out the Online Application with Scouting America. This gets your Scout officially registered in the system.
Step 2: Get Connected
Once your application is processed, our New Member Coordinator will send a welcome email with your Den assignment and info on how to access Scoutbook and our Discord server. This is how you’ll track the calendar, rank progress, and pack and den communications.
Step 3: Gear Up
Each rank has its own uniform and adventure book; visit the Uniform Guide to see details. You can find gear locally in Hillsboro at LaHaie’s, the CPC Scout Shop in Beaverton, or online at the National Scouting America Store. Note: We also have a Uniform Library with recycled gear – contact us for details!
Step 4: The First Meeting
You’re ready to start! At your first meeting, we’ll help you finish the last bit of paperwork (like the Medical Form) and introduce you to your Den Leader.
